Kim Weston delivers a masterclass in classic Detroit soul on this exceptional early 1966 single for Motown’s celebrated Gordy imprint. Driven by an infectious, stomping tambourine beat and sweeping brass orchestration courtesy of the Funk Brothers, the single successfully cracked both the Billboard Hot 100 and the R&B charts, highlighting Weston's powerful, resonant vocal delivery before she famously left the label later that year.
