Porky (50 Years Of Cool) pays musical tribute to Porky Chedwick, the legendary Pittsburgh disc jockey known as the "Daddio of the Raddio" who revolutionized the airwaves by championing R&B and doo-wop records. The group, fronted by Jack Hunt (Johnny Angel), is the city's longest-surviving local band, capturing a classic blue-eyed soul and northern soul aesthetic since 1972. Backed with a rendition of "(Don't Have To) Shop Around," this release is a wonderful preservation of the Steel City’s enduring vocal group legacy.
