Jackie Montre-el pouring her heart out over raw instrumentation is deep soul perfection. Born Minnie Lee Curry, Montre-el channels a powerful New York and Chicago sister-soul intensity, offering a grit-heavy, unvarnished vocal layout that feels miles away from the heavily processed commercial tracks of major contemporary labels. The driving tempo features raw rhythm patterns, punchy horn stabs, and dynamic bass syncopation that have transformed the single into a highly coveted find among specialized rare soul selectors and Northern Soul crate diggers.
