Barbara Mason – Just A Little Lovin' / Yes, It's You
Vinyl Condition: VG+
Label: National General Records
Catalog #: NGR-012
Best known for its earlier rendition by Dusty Springfield, Mason completely reclaims the composition here, trading out the pop standard's traditional acoustic intimacy for a lushly orchestrated, mid-tempo groove layout driven by a syncopated bass line and her signature, velvety vocal delivery. This vintage USA promo copy provides sweet soul purists a beautifully punchy, wonderfully preserved artifact from a true pillar of the Philadelphia sound.
