Produced by Bunny Sigler and arranged by the great Ron Kersey. Brooks, an accomplished Broadway actress who had previously performed with Barry Manilow's backing group Lady Flash, successfully brought her theater-honed vocal power to the studio, driving "Skinnydippin" onto the national Billboard R&B charts later that year.
