The A-side features "Niki Hoeky," a rhythmically infectious track penned by Jim Ford alongside Lolly and Pat Vegas, the foundational brothers who would later form the Native American rock group Redbone. Supported by heavy radio play, Proby’s dramatic delivery pushed the single to number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 in early 1967.
