Lil' Kim’s "No Matter What They Say" dropped in 2000 as the explosive lead single from her highly anticipated sophomore album, The Notorious K.I.M.. The track stands as a masterful showcase of Y2K-era hip-hop swagger, interpolating elements from classic works by Nile Rodgers, Bernard Edwards, and Eric B. & Rakim.
