Julito Y The Latin Lads showcase a fascinating, cross-cultural intersection on this rare 1962 7-inch single released via the Puerto Rican label Rico-Vox (catalog number RV-27). Known primarily in collectors' circles for blending traditional Caribbean sensibilities with mid-century American styles, the group bridges distinct musical worlds on this release. Side A features "Poesia En Movimiento," a Spanish-language interpretation of Johnny Tillotson's 1960 American pop hit "Poetry in Motion." It is backed by "Nunca," a classic romantic bolero that highlights their tight, doo-wop-influenced vocal harmonies. This particular press offers a compelling snapshot of how rock & roll and early vocal group trends swept through Puerto Rico, making it a stellar historical document for fans of international early rock and Latin vocal groups.
