Released in 1966, this vintage 7" single serves as a profound early milestone for a teenage Hank Williams Jr. Written when he was just 16 years old, the poignant A-side, "Standing In The Shadows," earned him a prestigious BMI award. The track offers a rare, deeply personal reflection on his early career struggles to carve out his own musical identity while operating under the immense cultural legacy of his father, Hank Williams. Original MGM sleeve included.
